FAQ's

We try and provide you with as much information as possible to ensure that you have a fantastic vacation in Florida. From the planning stages, to booking and your eventual stay with us, we will try our very best to be as helpful as we can and make the process an easy one for you so when you do arrive at the villa it's your time to relax, have fun and make memories.

What is the booking process?

It's very easy, for general booking enquiries  click here  If you do decide to go ahead with the booking, we will send out a confirmation email including dates, amounts and how to pay and also a booking form for your completion and return. 

Can you help with the planning?

Ok so the villa is booked but what about everything else. We can try and point you in the right direction for park tickets, car hire and other things you might like to do and we have tried to include some useful links here

Do I need a visa?

The UK is part of the Visa Waiver Program where eligible residents who wish to travel to the USA must apply for an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation).  For full details and to apply for an ESTA visit the official government website here apply for an ESTA  There are lots of unofficial sites who will charge you a lot more than the official $14 fee but If you are unsure please ask for more details.

How do we find the villa?

Directions will be detailed in the 'guest information sheet' provided prior to your arrival.

Check in and check out times?

In order for the villa to be cleaned and ready for guests arriving, check out time is 10am and check in time is 4pm.
We do however understand that most flights back to the UK are early/late evening and we will try and accommodate a later check out wherever possible.

What should I bring?

Happy faces, sun tan lotion, shades, toiletries, a camera and travel adaptors if you need to charge electrical items that don't have a US connector.
All bed linens, towels for use inside the villa and beach towels for poolside or the beach are provided, freeing up luggage space.

As this is a self-catering villa you will need to provide your own food, drink and cleaning items.

Are there internet and telephone facilities at the villa?

Yes the villa is equipped with high speed wifi for guests to use free of charge. Full details of how to connect will be included in your 'guest information sheet' provided prior to your arrival.
A telephone is also installed and all local calls as well as calls to numbers within the US/Canada are free of charge.
We do allow guests to call UK landlines free of charge, however if you misuse this facility, excess charges may be deducted from the security deposit. 

Are there any baby items in the villa?

We have tried to include some things a young family could wish for in a holiday home such as a cot as well as a travel cot (bedding not supplied for either) highchair, strollers and stair gates. For a toddler, we also have a child safety bed guard for use on any of the twin beds. These are all provided free of charge. There are also plastic plates, bowls, cutlery and tumblers. 

Will pool heating be needed and is there a fee?

We recommend that the pool should be heated between the months of October and April when it may be cooler than you feel comfortable with. Possibly September and May if it really is feeling a bit chilly when you dip your toe in!
To retain the heat when the pool is heated, the pool cover provided should be used to prevent heat loss from the water and to help the pool heater maintain a comfortable temperature.

What happens if we have any issues during our stay?

Our villa is overseen by a first class management company, who live on-site at Highlands Reserve, this provides a responsive and punctual service for any requirements should they arise.
Their details will be on your 'guest information sheet' provided prior to your arrival as well as within the Welcome Folder allocated in the villa.

Do I need to take a hairdryer?

No there are hairdryers in all the bathrooms for you to use. 

Is there a BBQ at the villa?

Sorry we don't keep a BBQ at the villa, you can however rent one from our Management Company and we will be happy to arrange this for you.
